The Lane Early Learning Alliance’s (ELA) Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council (PAC) is seeking parents and caregivers of children under the age of 8 to inform key program and policy decisions by the ELA that will affect young children and families in Lane County.
We genuinely want to learn from parents and caregivers about their experiences, their hopes for how our community can do better, and their ideas on how to make that happen. At each meeting we will bring topics for parents/caregivers to discuss and will pursue actions to improve our early learning system.
Participating families will receive a $40 gift card after each meeting as a thank you for their time. The Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council will meet 8 times each year (online initially, and in-person in the future). Spanish interpretation will be provided during the council meetings.
Our first meeting will be August 20th from 1-2:30 through a virtual meeting platform (Zoom). In the first gathering committee members will learn about the work our early learning hub and parenting hub are doing. Group members will have input about ongoing dates and times of meetings.
